About Us

Family Promise of Lee County (FPLC) is a program based on the model and principles established by the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Family Promise is a non-profit organization that provides assistance to homeless families in Lee County. FPLC is successful due to the fact that local congregations work together as partners and provide an outreach ministry focusing on the needs of the homeless families in our community.

Family Promise of Lee County helps homeless families transform their lives, by providing emergency shelter and family stability services, such as employment and life-skills programs through which families can quickly obtain and sustain stable housing. We keep all types of families together during the crisis of homelessness and provide individualized blends of services during and after their Family Promise stay to help them achieve long-term family stability.

Family Promise utilizes the idea of cost-effective mobilization of community resources. 75% of families achieve lasting independence at (1/3) of the cost of traditional shelters.
